Upon purchasing a new phone number from Number Shack, you will receive a Port Out Certificate via email. This certificate serves as your authorization to initiate the porting process with your current carrier.

To initiate porting, contact your current carrier and inform them of your intention to port in a new phone number. Provide them with the details specified on the Port Out Certificate. Your current carrier will then commence the porting process.

Once the porting process is complete, your newly acquired phone number will replace your existing number. Your current service plan and contract with your provider will remain unchanged.

As long as you maintain an active service with your current provider, you will retain ownership of the phone number purchased from Number Shack. In the future, if you decide to switch providers, you can seamlessly port the number to a new carrier, whether it be a landline provider, cellular network, or VoIP service.
