Porting Your Phone Number Away from Telnyx

Are you ready to switch to a new mobile carrier and take your phone number with you? If your Port Out Certificate indicates Telnyx (reseller), this guide will help you navigate the process smoothly.

For Customers:

• Contact your new carrier: Tell them you want to port your existing phone number from to their network. They'll need some information from you, including your Port Out Certificate details.
• Wait for confirmation: Once your carrier receives your request, they'll notify Telnyx. They work together to transfer your number.
• Stay informed: Number Shack will receive a port out notice, usually 2-4 business days after your stat the process with your carrier. We will approve the request as soon as its received and will send you an email and text message with the Firm Order Commitment (FOC) for your port. This is the estimated date your number will switch to your new carrier.
• Relax and wait: The porting process usually takes 2-14 business days, however, there can be unforeseen delays.

Important Notes:

• Your new carrier has a 10-day grace period to complete the porting after the FOC date.
• Only your new carrier can contact Telnyx if they have questions. Please don't call or email Telnyx directly about your port request.
